She was born to a Lebanese father and a Armenian mother and has a younger brother.Currently she is studying Business Marketing.
Since Maria was discovered at age 13 she had done many commercials.She won the Miss Bikini Asia 2002 in Malta aged 17.In 2004 she sings and is known for her armenian accent and naive style.Maria has some much controversed video clips like "Ela'b"(play) where she sucks on lollipops and bathes in chocolate cornflakes in milk.The another clip "Bahibbak Ad Eih" (I love you so) she plays a girl in love.All of her clips are directed by Jad Shoueiry.
She has one brother younger then her (who plays on guitar).. She's studying :first year business-marketing. She speak 3 languages: Arabic, Armenian and English. Her mother is a poet and his father is a singer.
She began her career as a model when she was 13 years old. Worked as a Freelancer with many agencies, and did many adds which got big success. After all this, she represented Lebanon in Malta in Miss Asia Bikini beauty contest and she was elected miss bikini Asia 2002 on the age of 17 years old, (Miss bikini photos available in the photo gallery).
Later on Maria did start her first music album preparation which took 2 years of hard work, and now the album is released to the market with the hit song "El`ab", produced by Melody hits. She was on stage for the first time in miss summer 2003 with melody TV singing one of her first songs..
Her first video clip "El`ab" was with Jad Choueiry as a director. production melody music and management Aya Production.
